Dear GFL Community,

We hope all is well with you this summer. In this article we have tried to compile the most important bits from the upcoming PRE-GFL 2025, in addition to providing some updates on Ski rental at GFL 2025 in Hemsedal and merging of RACE teams.

PRE GFL is just around the corner!

We are thrilled to welcome around 50 Pre GFL participants to Bergen & Voss in September.
Below is a summary of the most important bits.

Arrival Information for PRE GFL.ers
As soon as you have your arrival information, please submit it here.

Saturday, September 21st (day before pre-GFL)
If you are in Bergen early and would like to join other PreGFL participants for dinner, please come to Restaurant Villani in Skostredet from 7 pm on Saturday 21st. The address is Skostredet 9A.

We will announce our pub destination via WhatsApp after dinner.

Sunday, September 22nd
We will meet outside customs at Bergen Airport (BGO) or at Byparken (the final stop of the Bergen Light Railway). At Byparken from 12.30 pm.

Hotel Discount
For a discount at Hotel Charmante in Bergen city center, book directly via the hotels website and email us via hello@gfl2025.com with the subject “Hotel Charmante“. We will ensure you receive the discount.

Tax-Free Shopping
Like many Norwegians, you can buy duty-free goods upon arrival at both Oslo (OSL) and Bergen (BGO) airports.
Keep your boarding pass to make these purchases.

Ski rental at GFL Hemsedal

We are excited to announce that ski rentals are now open for GFL2025!
Note:Registration was no booking! Everyone interested in booking equipment must follow these steps:

1. Visit skistar.com and select your preferred language.

2. Click ‘Log in‘ and register a new account using your email.

3. Navigate to ‘My page‘ and select ‘Rental‘.

4. Choose your destination: Hemsedal.

5. Select your rental dates:

For week-long rentals:
•Start on Sunday, March 30, 2025, for 6-8 days.

For race day rentals:
•XC Race: Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Select a 3-hour rental. (Pickup and return at the XC arena)
•GS Race: Thursday, April 3, 2025.
•SB Race: Friday, April 4, 2025.


6. After entering your personal details, proceed to checkout and use the campaign code: GLF25 for a 15% discount (Please note, the L comes before the F..) Code is valid until February 28th 2025.

Ski rental store is located in receptionarea at Ski Lodge.

Charity information

We are proud to support the Norwegian Search and Rescue Dogs (Norske Redningshunder) as our chosen charity for GFL2025.
This organization plays a crucial role in search and rescue operations across Norway.

More information on the charity will follow..

Race draw and merging of teams

We will have a draw at PreGFL in September. According to GFL rules, you need a minimum of 8 participants in a GS-RACE team and a minimum of 5 in an SB-RACE team.

For Team Captains:
Below is a list of all teams.

Big Teams(30 or more): You are welcome to split your team into two RACE teams if desired.

Small Teams: Please find other teams and merge to form RACE teams. If you need help from OC, we are happy to assist. Send an email to: hello@gfl2025.com

You will receive an invoice for 60% of your total in early September, due by September 29th.
