We hope this article finds you well. In this article we have tried to compile the most important bits from the upcoming PRE-GFL 2025.
Location & Dates
PRE-GFL 2025 will be held in the western part of Norway, close to Bergen and Voss with a total of 50 PreGFL.ers. Check weather forecast Bergen here
The dates are Sep 22nd to Sep 24th 2024.
(We are 17 PreGFL.ers already in Bergen Saturday 21st and a table is booked for a dinner at restaurant Villani Skostredet from 7 pm. Address Skostredet 9A. You are welcome to prepare something true & something false about yourself)

Day 1 – Sep 22nd
Arrival at Bergen Airport “Flesland” (BGO)
A member of OC GFL2025 will meet you at the airport from 09:30 to welcome you, assist with your luggage, and offer complimentary coffee, soft drinks, and sandwiches. For transportation from Bergen Airport Flesland to the city center, we recommend taking the Bergen Light Railway (Bybanen) to the end station, “Byparken”. (Buy your own tickets at the airport)
A member of OC GFL2025 will also meet you at Byparken (serving PreGFL.ers already in Bergen soft drinks and sandwiches from 12.30pm), where you’ll receive a map and the opportunity to explore Bergen’s highlights, including Bryggen, the Fish Market, The Fløibanen funicular, and more at your own pace, before meeting the rest of the group at 16:15 at Bergen Jernbanestasjon (Railway Station).
Note: To secure both enough tickets and to sit together, we have already bought tickets to everyone. Our OC Finance Inger has an Izettle and will charge you 271NOK for the ticket.
We’ll all catch the train to Voss, checking in at Park Hotel Vossevangen, for dinner & party…… Here we’ll also have the draw for the starting order in the giant slalom and snowboard competition, a GFL2026-presentation and reveal the theme for the theme party in Hemsedal.
Day 2 – Sep 23rd
Treasures of Norway Tour! Very important all day to be on time!
06:30-09:30: Breakfast
09:44 – Train Departs Voss station, track 1, Bergen Line to Finse.
Enjoy the scenic train journey to Myrdal.
10:29 Arrival at Myrdal station. Change trains to the Flåm Railway.
10:41: The Flåm Railway departs.
Experience one of the world’s most spectacular railway journeys.
We start the journey from mountain station Myrdal(867m amsl) and descend in short distance to Flåm station at sea level. We sing all togheter!!! “Der Zug, der Zug, der Zug hat keine………..
Gaze at the wild and majestic fjord and mountain landscapes.
Witness rivers carving through deep ravines, waterfalls cascading down steep mountainsides, snow-capped peaks, and mountain farms.
11:39 – Arrival at Flåm station.
11:50 Stegastein Viewpoint Tour with bus.
13:30 Back in Flåm, you`ll be served a light lunch a then you have the opportunity to explore Flåm. For info:Railway museum is for free.
15:00 – Fjord Cruise Nærøyfjord, Flåm – Gudvangen
Experience a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sail through the narrowest fjord in the world, the Nærøyfjord, surrounded by towering mountains.
Admire mountain farms clinging to steep mountainsides.
17:00 Fjord cruise arrives Gudvangen.
17:15 – Bus Departs Gudvangen. En route, we’ll stop both at the majestic Tvindefossen waterfall and at the picturesque Stalheim before reaching Voss at 19:00.
20:00 – Dinner at the Hotel

Day 3 – Sep 24th
After breakfast (06.30 – 09.30) and check-out (latest 12:00), you have two options for returning to Bergen Flesland Airport, BGO.
Option 1: Take the train from Voss stasjon to Bergen stasjon (1hr 20 min), then transfer to the Bergen Light Railway (Bybanen) departing every 5 min to the end station, Bergen lufthavn, BGO (45min). You’ll need to purchase your own tickets.
-Buy a ticket: There is a ticket machine available on the platform at Voss stasjon, and both Mastercard and Visa are accepted. Alternatively, you can download the Vy app to purchase your tickets: All the way to airport: Choose from Voss stasjon – to Bergen Lufthavn (Flesland).
Ensure you’re on time for your flight from Bergen Flesland Airport. Check the flights schedule here.
Option 2: Opt for the sightseeing tour via bus from Voss to BGO, known as the “To BGO via Extended Tour”. Departuretime outside hotel: 08:00. Estimated time of arrival at BGO is around 12 o’clock local time. Still free seats. Ticket: 500 NOK, if interested contact our OC Finance Inger for purchase.
